The Wightlink Warriors have announced the arrival of Andy Hague as Commercial Manager for the club, which is hoping to bring back Speedway to the Isle of Wight in just a matter of months.
Andy, who is the owner of Speedway Portal, will join Barry Bishop, Steve Luxton and Angie Cooper taking care of the Commercial aspects of the club and in particular focussing on team partners and sponsorship.
Talking about the opportunity Andy said:
“Having worked alongside Barry and Martin to provide the Wight Warriors Speedway media channel on Speedway Portal, I was delighted to be asked to join the team. To have witnessed the drive, commitment and passion that radiates from them when discussing Isle of Wight speedway matters, I am very proud to now be involved officially with the club. I would also like to add that having met some of the extended team members, sponsors and fans at the forum in September I can see that enthusiasm within them too.
“The Isle Of Wight is a fantastic place, we will strive to make Wight Warrior events ones which the local residents can be proud of and along with our partners and sponsors bring new visitors over to the Island.”
The Warriors’ Commercial Director, Barry Bishop said:
“Martin and I are thrilled to have secured Andy’s services for the club. Andy has many commercial talents and a skillset in media, so we are sure he will enhance our commercial team.
“We cannot wait to get started to secure more backing for the club and speedway school as we continue to build the Warriors brand locally, nationally and internationally.
“Andy will also focus on our speedway school and other projects already in the pipeline for 2016. Welcome to the Warriors Andy.”
