SEAMSTRESSES URGENTLY NEEDED TO CREATE ADDITIONAL NHS SCRUBS

Seamstresses on the Isle of Wight are being urgently sought to help supply the NHS with scrubs by transforming surplus material.

Those with the experience and skills required, who maybe find themselves at a loose end due to the lockdown, are being asked to make contact with Lake-based Elis, who supply and wash all of St Mary’s Hospital scrubs, uniforms and bedding.

With hospitals under severe pressure there is a growing need for scrubs – sanitary clothing worn by surgeons, nurses, physicians and other workers involved in patient care.

Seamstresses on the Island are being asked if they can help create scrubs from brand new material supplied by Elis. The specification material will be dropped at your door (in accordance with social distancing) and collected again.
