A 52-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman and forcing her to take cocaine.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has launched an investigation into the shocking incident, which is said to have taken place earlier this month.
It’s alleged that on Saturday 19th July, at the Isle of Wight’s Sausage and Cider Festival, the victim – a woman in her 20s – was forced to snort the Class A drug cocaine and was inappropriately touched by the suspects, who were ‘attempting to take her home’.
The woman was later conveyed by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
Detectives investigating the circumstances of the incident have arrested a 52-year-old woman from Sandown on suspicion of sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower to allow sexual activity.
A 45-year-old man from Sandown has also been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, administering a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower to allow sexual activity and supplying Class A drugs.
The pair, who were detained in Sandown last Thursday (24th July), have both been released on bail until October.
Enquiries continue.

The woman will get a sentence of 5 minutes if not let off and the man…well he wont see light of day for long time. Equal rights at it best.
My concern is with the victim. If you see this as an equality issue you need to adjust your focus. The poor girl must have been terrified & revolted.
Better watch out that chip on your shoulder is fast hurtling towards boulder size!.your concerns should be for the women making the alleged assault claim.
