Organisers of this summer’s Fairweather Festival have announced a string of new names to join the 2018 line-up including Professor Green, Artful Dodger and Dappy.
Leading the announcement is British rap-sensation and last year’s headliner, Professor Green, who has a huge influx of new music on the way including a number of collaborations with his best mate and Friday night headliner, Example. Pro Green loved the crowd at Fairweather Festival last year and was really keen at the idea of coming back with new music and a new show.
Also joining the line-up is Dappy, best known as one third of MOBO Award-winning trio N-Dubz. Following a sell out UK tour earlier this year, Dappy is well and truly back. He has enjoyed a successful solo career, which has seen him gain 6 top 40 singles including his latest single, Oh My.
It isn’t just acts being announced today… a brand new stage, The Den, will deliver a burst of flowing colour. Surrounded in woodland and jumping with fun inflatables and atmosphere, The Den is the party with a SoundClash of 5 genres of the world’s biggest and best electronic music.
Joining Nathan Dawe at the top of The Den’s line-up is garage heroes, Artful Dodger. With 2 decades of hits including ‘Movin’ Too Fast’, ‘Please Don’t Turn Me On’ and the huge chart topping collaboration with Craig David, ‘Re-Rewind’, Artful dodger have demonstrated how the party should go down for years – bring your dancing shoes to this one!

Representing the drum and bass genre will be the notorious Kings of The Rollers. A super-group consisting of Serum, Bladerunner, Voltage and MC Inja, organisers say they are unbelievably excited to have these guys on the bill. They are the biggest name in a genre which is taking over the world at the moment. Also joining The Den line-up will be house music pioneers DJ S.K.T, Endor, SHAPES, Shaun Dean, DJ:CJ, MaxxTraxx and Battle of the Decks winner, Remy J.
This latest announcement follows the unfortunate news that Shaggy will no longer be appearing at the event, due to taking a break from performing after his extensive world tour with Sting. Shaggy has cancelled a total of 4 gigs.
Founder and promoter Callum Fairweather has said:
“Although we’re heartbroken to announce Shaggy’s cancellation, we’re now very excited with our full line-up and hope that festival-goers will be too. We truly believe we have something for everyone and are excited to be bringing a fun, family-friendly event to Sandown once again”.
Fairweather Festival takes place at Sandown Airport on Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September, raising money and awareness for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. Performing across the weekend will be Example and DJ Wire, Razorlight, Professor Green, FooR, Dappy, Matt Terry, The South, Fatman Scoop, Artful Dodger, Rhythm of the 90’s and many, many more.
