A man wanted for alleged drug offences in Poland has been located living on the Isle of Wight almost 3 years after a European warrant was issued for his arrest.
32-year-old Krzysztof Mieczyslaw Pruszynski was apprehended by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police in Ryde last Friday (3rd March) before being transported directly to London, as previously reported by Island Echo.
It is now known that Prunszynski is wanted by the Polish authorities on a possession of drugs charge dating back almost 8 years to 2015.
The Poles are seeking the extradition of the 32-year-old from the UK back to Poland and issued a European Arrest Warrant against his name on 27th March 2020.
It was on Saturday that Krysztof Pruszynski was put before Westminster Magistrates Court – 1 of the only courts in the country that can deal with international matters. During this hearing, it was decided to give him conditional bail to appear before the court again at a later date.
Prunszynski, of Slade Road in Ryde, will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court again in May.
It was at an address on Slade Road, Oakfield that Prunszynski was arrested at 13:30 last Friday afternoon.

Well that was worth it. Back to the island he comes.
if he done a runner once he will go again
Extradition means he will be removed from the UK and returned to his home country Poland to face charges. All the while he will be under arrest and escorted by Police. Hopefully he will get jail time in Poland relating to drug offences. Nothing more than he deserves huh!
What part of bailed don’t you understand? He is back on the streets and certainly won’t go back to court for the next hearing. Already in hiding somewhere no doubt.
I didn’t read it Properly did I Paul. Fancy letting this guy out on bail, he’s done a Fred Flintstone already!!!!
On miał tylko parę gram na własny użytek Polska jest chorym krajem w Anglii nic by nie zrobili po prostu lubi sobie zapalić
And to you too!!!!!!! When in Rome, speak English!!!!!
Whats the bet he will ‘disappear’ ?
Should have been sent straight back to Poland
He hasn’t been convicted of anything yet.
Bailed! So he will now do a runner and that will be the last they will see of him. Our useless justice system gets worse by the day.
Hope they confiscated his passports…
This is what the UK gets when our border controls allow people within the EU in!
Glad this man has been removed off the island and will be returned to Poland to face charges.
He probably thought he would never be found on the little Isle of Wight!
CONDITIONAL BAIL! – WTF?
Bail !, brilliant !,
he’ll be off on his toes then,
Great job judge,
systems a joke.
Perhaps Gary Lineker could defend him in court?
yeah we will take all the dreggs non wonder this place is FULL of NONCES and GRASSES
You still growing that pot and smoking it
Yea I had some it’s too dry and no crystals very disappointing
Scum bag you are get back to prison smack head
Useless, expensive courts in action, always defending the guilty. More interested in jailing pensioners not paying a TV licence.
Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in the UK. You can’t be sent to prison for not paying for your TV licence.
Usual over-reactions on here. Possession means he had a little for his own use (8 years ago). He is hardly Pablo Escobar!
slade Road..drugs…police….the only thing that has changed is the nationality of the resident. slade road was nicknamed HMP Slade for good reason
A disgusting place to live. Always been full of low life, easy women, scattered children all on benefits, breed from puberty onwards.
