POLICE CARRY OUT DRUGS RAIDS ON 2 ADDRESSES IN RYDE

Police raided 2 homes at Amherst Place in Ryde this morning (Friday) as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs.

7 Police units – including an armed response vehicle and a dog unit – arrived on the estate off Marlborough Road at around 09:00.

Specialist officers executed pre-planned warrants at 2 addresses in the cul-de-sac. The warrants related to an investigation into the supply of drugs.

Enquiries are ongoing at this time, according to Hampshire Constabulary.

On Wednesday, Police executed drugs warrants on a number of addresses on North Road in Shanklin – as previously reported by Island Echo.

Anyone with information relating to drug related harm or possible linked activity should contact the Ryde Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.

I love how we are asked to dial 101 to report dealers. I’ve reported one local to me twice on 101 and the police have done nothing about it. I’ve given up now.
