Local charity Age UK Isle of Wight has created an Island-wide survey to help find out more about the wider impact coronavirus has had on local residents.
By completing the survey, Islanders will be supporting Age UK Isle of Wight to further learn about the many issues experienced by the older population as a result of COVID-19 and the national lockdowns, whilst also helping them to identify further opportunities of future support that they can provide.
Jo Dare Age UK CEO said
“As we approach a year since the first lockdown, we are learning that there will be a legacy from Covid-19 even with the vaccination programme currently underway. We want to make sure that we evolve to respond to current and emerging needs but to do that we need your help.
“It doesn’t matter whether or not you are currently using Age UK IW services, whether you are responding on behalf of yourself, a family member or just have an opinion we want to hear from you”.
The anonymous survey is running through to 21ar March. It is accessible to complete online at bit.ly/AUKIWCovid. Alternatively, you can request a printed version of the survey and a Freepost return envelope by calling 01983 525282.

the survey says over 50’s – yet the questionnaire has an age section and one of the categories is 18-49.
clearly not just for the over 50’s
I have just completed the survey and found the usual troubles. Why don’t the people who generate these surveys run them past someone who was not involved in the construction? They might then have found out that one question was recursive, ie referring to itself, and another instructing one to go forward to Q24 and then made one go back to fill in some required fields. This sort of thing is quite common as the constructor reads what he meant, not what is actually there!
