B&Q in Newport will now be operating to reduced opening hours, with Morrisons supermarket stores in Newport and Lake following suit.
With Islanders spending more time at home, B&Q has been busy with homeowners buying equipment for their latest DIY project. However, the retail giant has announced that it will now only be open between 08:00-17:00 Mondays to Saturdays. Usual Sunday hours will apply.
Morrisons has announced that all of its store will open between 08:00-20:00 Monday to Saturday, with Sundays opening as usual.
A special NHS hour is being introduced between 07:00-08:00. This will allow individuals with an NHS badge to access the store an hour earlier than other shoppers so that they can find groceries for themselves and their families.

My partner works for the nhs can I do the shopping with his badge ? Or has he got to come with me ? ?
My wife is a carer in a home and does 12 hour shifts 8 till 8 can they get in at 7…..?
And it needs to be open why?
Well done Morrisons on your NHS opening strategy.
I hope they are going to keep people 6ft apart from each other? And it should only be a certain amount of people in at a time. They also should have hand sanitizer for people that touch trolleys and baskets to keep the hygiene up from the risk of getting it and keeping it clean same really goes for Morrison’s.
What about times for pensioners will that still apply please
