A new ‘Barbie type’ salon called The Doll House has recently opened on Shanklin High Street. Opened back on 8th October, the salon offers aesthetics, hair, beauty and nails. The owner, Melissa Calvert, said:
“It’s very pink, Barbie-type vibes and nowhere else similar on the island as far as I’m aware. We offer aesthetics, hair, beauty and nails.”
As previously reported by Island Echo, the site was previously Malins Bar, which closed in January this year and, before that, it was Nathalie Clare Hairdressers. The salon is open 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Saturday, with later appointments available on request. Melissa’s salon also hosts birthday parties.
