A Co-operative lorry has left the carriageway on The Downs Road near to Downend this lunchtime.
Emergency services were called at 12:35 to the incident, which has left the delivery lorry tilting on its side.
No one has been injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved.
Police are operating a stop and go system allowing the road to remain open.
A temporary closure at the incident may be put in place when recovery of the vehicle by Bartletts commences.
UPDATE @ 16:20 – Specialist recovery experts Bartletts Service Station and Stag Lane Motors have been working together this afternoon to recover the Co-Operative delivery lorry.
The Downs Road remains closed this afternoon while the vehicle is recovered, however it is expected to reopen shortly.
