Italian restaurant chain Prezzo has opened in Newport this week.
A total of 18 new jobs have been created by the opening of Prezzo’s first restaurant on the Island in the High Street, which is being managed by Gabriela Wilk.
Prezzo serve popular and innovative Italian food, including a range of pizza, pasta, salads, calzone, risotto and grills. Additionally it offers a choice of desserts and drinks and also features a children’s menu.
The restaurant, on the site of the former Post Office, has seating for 178 guests; 150 in the main dining area and a further 28 in the garden dining area.
The history of the site has not been completely forgotten, with 4 original post boxes retained and on display in the main dining area.
Gabriela said:
“Myself and my staff are looking forward to opening our new restaurant.
“Prezzo will serve the highest quality food in comfortable and stylish surroundings.

Prezzo is open from 12noon until 23:30 throughout the week.
