The Isle of Wight Takeover event, which sees thousands of modified cars from across the country come to the Island each year, has been postponed until September.
Organisers say that event planning is always hard but with a heavy heart they have had to take measures this year that are unprecedented by all.
The event was due to take place at the County Showground in May, but has now been pushed back to Sunday 20th September 2020.
All tickets roll over to the new date, as will trade bookings. Ferry bookings will also roll over.
No refunds are being offered.
Further information can be obtained through the IOW Takeover website and Facebook groups.

Good. Too many ‘boy & girlracers speeding around the island in their too loud cars thinking it sounds great when all it is really is a bag of s–t.
I agree entirely
Just cancel to next year.. this is going to take a long time to be clear the corvid19 virus.. The Prime Minister said he is hoping to control so it is slowed down so less pressure on NHS, he said he is hoping it will be a case of highs and lows of peaks… SO stupid to think it will be safe by September..
