Isle of Wight East constituency boundaryAs the Island gets ready to vote in the 2024 General Election, Island Echo takes a look at the boundaries for the Isle of Wight West and East constituencies. For the first time, the Island will see 2 MPs sent to Parliament to fight on behalf of Islanders, as opposed to the current 1 MP setup. It took some time for the boundaries to be agreed upon by The Boundary Commission. Earlier submissions, such as one put forward by Labour, recommend splitting the Island vertically in 2 and having an Isle of Wight North and South, but this was dismissed so that Newport – the Island’s county town – wasn’t cut in half. Other proposed ideas sought to split Ventnor from fellow seaside towns Shanklin and Sandown but the decision was made that due to their close economic and social links, they should remain together. In previous submissions, East Cowes was originally split from Cowes and was in the Isle of Wight East Constituency. The final decision was confirmed back in July 2023. Isle of Wight East consists of major towns like Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor with towns like Newport, Cowes and East Cowes in the Isle of Wight West. There will be a total of 20 wards in the Isle of Wight East Constituency which has an electorate of 56,805. In the Isle of Wight West, there are a total of 19 wards and an electorate of 54,911. Islanders will head to the polls on Thursday 4th July to choose the first-ever MPs for the Isle of Wight West and Isle of Wight East respectively. Isle of Wight West constituency boundary

It will still be the Isle of Shite who ever gets in. Which of them is going to introduce tagging/cerfews for the feril brats? None of them.
Which one of them is going to introduce tagging for the paedos? None of them. Which one of the is going to introduce tagging for the drug dealers? None of them. Which one of them is going to stop the decimation of the green fields for housing? None of them, unless of coarse it happens to near any of them. In a nut shell, they are going to do F/A about anything that the local people might benefit from. So, at the end of the day, they are not fit for purpose, and not worth wasting a vote on.
Oh dear, you are an unhappy little sausage aren’t you. Did you think to maybe move to somewhere you do like?

The jury’s still out for lots of people particularly young ones. Left, right or whatever else, it’s a desperate choice as they’re no good-any of them. This country and whole world is going downhill fast…
