Voting in the 2019 General Election is now over and the count is underway to find out who is going to become the next MP for the Isle of Wight.
Follow our live updates below throughout tonight and into the early hours of tomorrow morning as we bring you the all-important result, as well as the facts and figures such as turn out and majority.
The declaration is expected to be made sometime around 03:00-04:00.
Bob Seely, who took a strong victory in 2017, is expected to secure the win but faces competition from Green’s Vix Lowthion and Labour’s Richard Quigley. Other candidates include Carl Feeney (Ind), Karl Love (Ind) and Daryll Pitcher (Ind).

Well done to Bob Seely, it is fair to say that Bob/Torres are clearly the most appropriate person/party to represent the Isle of Wight, watching the hustlings hosted last week by IWRadio Bob was by far the most educated and the most professional in his answers to the questions, it was disappointing to hear the hecklers in the crowd each time Bob spoke however it is clear that these hecklers were a minority ! I sincerely hope that the Isle of Wight over the next 5 years under the Torres is recognised as an island and the budgets allocated to our hospital, schools and public services are reflective to us not being part of the UK Mainland. I have to conclude in my saying that Vix (the greens) represented Herself extremely well at the hustlings however at this critical time in our economy the greens manifesto was not strong enough to vote for however Vix should be one to keep an eye on. I conclude in saying that as a business owner/employer on the Island that the best party has remained in power and I sincerely hope that now brexit can conclude swiftly our uk economy can grow and our wonderful island can prosper. Congratulations to the Tories and I raise a glass to Bob Seely.
