2 FLEE SCENE OF SERIOUS & LIFE-THREATENING COLLISION ON BRIDDLESFORD ROAD

People go ridiculously fast on that bit of road. I just wish that those in such a hurry will just slow down a bit (not saying this was the case this time)..
Having just been looking at the Medina Way Drag Strip I am surprised the above were the only accidents, so far, today.
Too many aggressive very angry drivers on the Island roads now, unfortunately it will continue with no hope of reducing, our population is rising and it’s going to get worse.
More houses, more drivers, no infrastructure to cope with it..
Regular crashes on this road, hardly surprising the amount of idiots observed every day taking ridiculous risks. The speed limit must be reduced to take into account all the blind bends and T junctions. I hope all are ok but only a matter of time before a fatality
Reducing the speed limit will not help. The ‘idiots’ you say are already breaking the speed limit, why would you think they’d care if it dropped to a 50 or 40?
The bends on briddlesford aren’t really ‘blind’ & the T Junctions are sign posted.
if drivers learn to read the road & conditions, read signs & drive appropriately (& no, that doesn’t necessarily mean slowly), then reducing the speed limit shouldn’t be necessary.
reducing the speed limit isn’t a panacea for every potential accident
I suspect it has nothing to do with the roads or drivers (licenced) and more to do with the idiots who most likely took someone elses car without concent and then drove it without a licence, insurance or hardly any experiance. Then run off when it all goes badly wrong.
Then everyone pipes up saying their piece about road safety.
No amount of signs, cameras, speed humps, barriers or roundabouts can protect against that kind of stupidity, they should throw the book at them. In fact several books if not the library and make an example for other idiots.
I just feel for the peolple injured in this incident who were going about their normal day.
