Convicted paedophile Samuel Huckle, who breached his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and therefore his suspended prison sentence too, has avoided being sent to jail – again.
Appearing at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court back in February, 21-year-old Huckle, of St Faith’s Road in Cowes, admitted having possession of several electronic items that hadn’t been declared to Police.
These items, which were discovered on 26th February this year, included an iPad, a laptop, 2 Xbox consoles and a camcorder. Huckle was also found in possession of an offensive weapon – namely a knife.
Having possession of these items put Huckle in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that was imposed back in February last year, after the 21-year-old was convicted of possessing a prohibited image of a child, 2 counts of distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photo of a child and 3 counts of making an indecent photo/pseudo-photo of a child.
Last year he avoided going to prison and was instead handed a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for 2 years.
At today’s hearing at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, prosecutor Sarah Daniel detailed how Police were alerted by internet safety firm E-Safe Global that a device belonging to Huckle was attempting to view illicit content on X – formerly Twitter.
As a result of the ping, Police visited Huckle’s home and searched it. During the search they found the stash of electrical items at the bottom of his wardrobe and a butterfly knife behind his bed.
The paedophile admitted to possessing the items in Police interview but told officers that they hadn’t been used for several years. He added that the knife in his possession was purchased on Amazon when he was 12.
Defending Huckle, Oscar Vincent told the court that there had been no charge brought in relation to the attempted viewing of the illicit videos and that Huckle had assumed that Police had checked the devices in his wardrobe when they carried out initial checks of his home and devices following his 2025 conviction.
The court heard how Huckle – who turned up to court with a bag, preparing to go to prison – has engaged well with his existing community order, completely near all of his unpaid work.
Handing down sentence, Judge Newton-Price said there was no indication that he had been using the items stored in his wardrobe and that the progress he had been making on his current order was ‘good’.
For breaching his Suspended Sentence Order, Huckle was ordered to complete a further 20 hours of unpaid work. For the breach of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order, Huckle was handed an 18-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days and a further 100 hours of unpaid work attached.

What is the point of a suspended sentence if they don’t use it. Yet again the judicial have let us down
Unbelievable lock him up !!!!
Oscar Vincent how can you represent a vile thing like that, knowing he’s a sicko and what he is capable of??? He escaped a prison sentence again HOW? What does it take, for this sicko to actually harm someone he should not be allowed to walk free yet again, where’s the justice system it’s pathetic!
Because that’s his job.
Cash in the bank that’s why, he is probably on speed dial of these people
What Is the point of a of a suspended sentence then, this just shows him that he can keep offending and get away with it, these people don’t change.
its also interesting how the judge keeps letting him off, they might have the same interests! Check the judges harddrive too
Exactly, bring back flogging and the stocks
One word. WHY!
His behaviour is not good. Having devices and trying to access illegal material..his probation/ offender manager needs some serious training on sexual perpetrators, how manipulative they are and good at lying. I expect he will be back in court soon. What then, oh he said the right things. Look at his actions theres the evidence.
If he has breached his previous suspended sentence why the hell is he not in prison now ??????
This nonce should have been locked up in the first place. Just goes to show that the courts and government actually want to protect these f*cking scumbags.
So much for the British law. Keep him on the streets
Is he a relative of the judge ??
The chasm between common sense, reality and the protection of the law abiding population against judicial sentencing gets larger by the day. We have an attorney general who likes defending terroists in his spare time dictating that we should not inprison people because we cannot have them two to a cell. Come on reform sort it out.
This oxygen thief need to be imprisoned, no amout of soft justice is going to work.
When are the Island magistrates going to actually going to do something? Will it take a death or one of their own to be assaulted.
Complete and utter joke as always don’t know why they bother even sitting at all
Beggers belief what our courts are doing. This thing needs to be in prison. If a shop lifter can go to prison this thing need hanging. Why can’t our courts protect our children.
if the justice system doesn’t lock this piece of filth up, then it is only a matter of time before the community court passes its sentence and street justice imposes it.
maybe if he’d of done something worse, like put a post up on social media which offended someone he’d of probably sent to prison.
The so called justice system makes a lot of money out of these thing. They know how to drag things out. The judge is clearly not fit to be doing the job.
This individual should be removed from the streets.
The justice system should be taken to task about this. It’s staggering.
I thought carrying a knife was against the law
especially with all the knife crime in the country!
Shocking!
If you read what the green party leader polanski says , he does not want anyone in jail, everyone should be dealt with in the community, that is a frightening thought.
Should of been shot then let out to the public
