None of us like to see these drink fuelled brawls but what possible purpose can be served by the continued cordoning of the pavement?. It serve’s no useful purpose as surely any forensic evidence could /should have been retrieved in minutes.
It wasn’t a drunken brawl at all. It was an unprovoked attack on a 19 year old boy resulting in GBH. Don’t speak on something you know nothing about.
Its not a drink fueled brawl its a random assault by a stranger on an unsuspecting victim, and the police need to do everygthing they can to find the despicable scum who walk up to people on the street and glass them for no reason!
Where is your compassion,
Have we got a forensic team on the Island, sat waiting to jump at a moments notice to every call?
Think they come over from the big island, we don’t have enough serious crime or assaults to have our own island based team.
The most annoying thing is that if they do gather evidence and arrest someone, whatever the crime, whatever the circumstance, the sentence will be so weak that painstakingly gleaning scrap’s of evidence will still result in a slap on the wrist result.
So waste of time and money.
Well I’m glad you don’t think we have enough serious crime and assaults over here. – I’m not sure many would agree with you.
We be trolling, crime every day,tax forever going up,serious incident last week ,police had to get ferry over
Cut backs mean forensic staff are not on duty 24hrs a day.
Some people can’t seem to go out these days and just be content with having a good time.
Fighting, knives, drugs, they all must be very boring people if they can’t enjoy themselves without breaking the law.
Stay indoors and let decent, law abiding people enjoy there might out.
Although not connected. I would like to bring attention if Island Echo allows to a male threatening to ATTACK female dog walkers in Ventnor Park. A bald headed male walking an old whippet shouted at a lady walking with her family about his dogs age & the fact it wouldn’t want to play with her dog. As the lady called her dog away, the male (a former Police Officer) approached them & put his fist in the face of the lady holding the lead & said he would punch her & kick her F*****g C**t of a dog. Neither dog was bothering one another & his actions of threatening violence towards women was shocking. LADIES BE AWARE
Rather than reporting the incident on here, if you are sure of your facts, you should report it to the police.
Was he a manlet also?
What’s a manlet?
Why can’t people just go out and enjoy themselves anymore
Many people have realised, reporting on social media puts it out to many people fast. Arrogant male 5ft 7” ish wearing a brown body warmer & shorts walking an elderly Whippet daily in Ventnor Park who threatens women is something Females should be aware of IMMEDIATELY. Add the fact that M*** N**h was a former police officer in Surrey & believes he is untouchable also needs shearing. To think this despicable low life was once paid to protect us from people like him makes me shudder. Im informed all details & video footage now passed to police. Fingers crossed they’re not like him.
