A.J Wells & Sons has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, it has been announced today (Monday). Established on the Isle of Wight in 1972, A.J Wells & Sons remains a steadfast family business employing 172 people. Renowned for designing and manufacturing CHARNWOOD clean-burning wood stoves, VLAZE outdoor kitchens and innovative architectural vitreous enamel solutions, the company also famously make much of the signage and cladding for the iconic London Underground. Operating extensively throughout Europe and trading with South Africa, North America, Japan, and Australia, A.J Wells & Sons are committed to productivity, sustainability, and fostering a supportive workplace environment. These principles serve as the driving force behind the company’s continued success and global reach. The Newport-based firm is 1 of 252 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. Hugh Wells, Managing Director, has said:
