Situated on the corner of St Thomas’ Square in the midst of the Island’s capital, The Wheatsheaf Inn provides a tranquil setting in which to kick back and enjoy some simple yet delicious food accompanied by a variety of real ales, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

The Wheatsheaf welcomes both familiar faces and newcomers with open arms and bags of rustic charm. Step off the busy street, be enveloped in its warm, relaxing atmosphere and taken back to yesteryear with traditional decor and fare to match. Dive into an all-day breakfast or a pub classic such as the tasty, well-portioned cottage pie with rich gravy and green garden peas – packed full of flavour. Or, perhaps you’ll opt for a succulent, meaty hotdog with onions, crisp, chunky chips, a colourful side salad and home-baked, melt-in-the-mouth garlic bread. All freshly prepared dishes from the varied, reasonably priced menu are best enjoyed in the spacious adjoining restaurant and are cooked to your specification. There’s also a specials board and, on Sunday, a carvery is available from noon. Helpful, friendly staff combined with wholesome food and fine beverages mean a trip to The Wheatsheaf Inn is always an enjoyable one.
