The weather is looking warm and dry for this weekend’s Chale Show, which will see around 10,000 people visit the annual two-day showcase of exhibits, horticulture and action.
The event, titled a great day out for the whole family, gets underway tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00 with a variety of arts and crafts tents, food stalls and the Island’s largest horticultural marquee with over 1,500 exhibits on display.
The main arena will this year play host to the Stampede Stunt Company, as well as the Jez Avery motorcycle stunt Show. Visitors can also expect all the traditional steam engines, tractors and children’s fun and games with a farmers market, Pimms Pop-up and free kids zone plus much more.
Live music will be played throughout the weekend over on the Sunflower Stage in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
It’s set to be an action-packed day on both Saturday and Sunday with activities throughout the day until 17:00. Entry is free for under 16s and there is no charge for parking. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
You can find The Chale Show at the Chale Recoration Ground on Military Road, approximately 1 mile West of Blackgang Chine (PO38 2JF).
