A disgusting man who become rowdy and abusive to staff on-board the Red Jet in Cowes before urinating over a refreshment counter has been before Southampton Magistrates Court.
Ben Marsh, 26 of North Baddesley, Hampshire boarded the 21:15 high-speed service from Cowes on 28th April before becoming what the court has described as rowdy and abusive, getting out of his seat repeatedly before demanding the use of a toilet.
Mr Marsh amazingly managed to gain access to the boat’s bridge, twice, demanding that Captain Rob Hinton stop the boat so Marsh could use the toilet.
Due to the defendants behaviour, Captain Hinton had no choice but to slow the vessel down to six knots for the safety of all passengers.
Ruining around £1,000 of food and causing over £3,500 of damages, Marsh urinated over the on-board, causing the Red Jety 4 to be out of action for two days.
In front of the court, Marsh admitted criminal damage, abusive behaviour and causing violence on a ship likely to endanger its navigation.
The case has been adjourned until later in the month for a pre-sentence report to be established.
