UPDATED: Motorists are facing delays on The Downs Road between Ryde and Newport this afternoon (Saturday) due to an overturned trailer in the middle of the road.
The incident has occurred at the junction of Lime Kiln Shute and Rowlands Lane.
It’s understood a John Deere tractor was towing the trailer when it toppled over.
UPDATE @ 14:05 – A telehandler has been used to flip the trailer back onto its wheels.
It’s load – a large log – has been removed to the site of the road.
The Downs Road is open as normal in both directions.
