Delays built up in Carisbrooke earlier this afternoon (Saturday) when a tractor leaked hydraulic fluid over the carriageway and broke down outside a busy pub.
Queues were back to the Wellington Road roundabout after the agricultural vehicle developed a fault and came to a stop outside the Eight Bells, blocking one side of the road.
Engineers were quickly on scene and worked to clear the spill, as well as getting the tractor on its way.

It’s not really outside the pub!!
Maniacs
Probably running on red diesel too
Nothing wrong with it running on red diesel
Ummm most agricultural vehicles run on Red
But what’s that got to do with an hydraulic leak !!!
Strange comment. What did you expect tractor to run on “coal”? Agricultural vehicles can legally use red diesel. Also ANY vehicle can and do break down at times. You can’t choose where. Also the way people drive at the moment I’d feel safer in a tractor !!
I agree George 100% I’m sure most think they run on coal!!
But really Linda it kinda doesn’t matter what it’s running on!!
Too many clueless townies living in this island
How do you know what is was running on?
Probably running on cow farts
