World Champion swimmer Zac Lacey from Ryde has added a British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships medal to his already impressive medal collection.
This weekend’s event was the first-ever British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships and took place in Crawley.
Zac, 22, was on the blocks in the Men’s T21 50m butterfly – his specialist discipline.
Lacey, who trains with Seaclose Swimming Club, powered home ahead of swimmers from London and Hertfordshire to take the gold and continue his superb form this season.
This latest medal will join Lacey’s ever-growing collection, including the 5 he won last month in Portugal.
