We are seeking the views of our readers to help shape the future of Island Echo and Isle of Wight news as a whole.
2019 was fantastic, especially as we were named Micro Business of the Year at the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards back in October. This year is set to be another positive one with continued growth.
We would now like your feedback on our service to date and your input on what Island Echo will look like in the future.
You may have noticed we have made some small adjustments to the website this month. This includes a re-arrangement of individual articles, a new font, better image captioning and the introduction of share buttons to mobile devices. We have also introduced a ‘sticky bar’ at the bottom of each article which prompts you to continue to the previous or next article.
Thank you to the 1,003 people who responded to this survey.
The results will be published in a new article on 25th February.

Well here’s the first comment then.
WHAT is the point of a survey that does nothing when the submit button is pressed. ?????????
We’ve had over 500 successful responses and this is the first comment to suggest something is wrong. Maybe you haven’t filled out all the required fields correctly?
Have you considered my suggestion of providing a ‘filter’ button, so individuals who prefer not to hear harsh truths can then blank out posters they don’t like, and can then relax by only reading soft delicate posts, then leaving others to be able to read, disagree, agree or give alternative views on more contentious subjects?
Pressed the submit button, and then everyting dissapears!
I too have pressed submit with no conformation of receipt.
Have just gone back up page and found receipt conformation, apologies.
Not keen on the new sticky bar
Submit button not working
One of the easiest surveys I have ever done, No problem submitting!
no problems here with the survey.
……….Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback to Island Echo……..
This is only about the fact that they want to see how much we are prepared to pay for this news of there’s.
If we have to pay in the future, I bet they won’t get many at all.
Prob is, if they charge, then most ordinary people will not use such. So instead of a wider section of the islands people, you will get more of the ‘same sort’. Never good for debate, views and opinions.
I am sure few will pay for this it would be the end for the echo and likely by now, they know it.
