A car crashed into a wall on a busy residential street in Newport this morning (Monday) as parents were dropping their children off at school.
The incident took place on Whitesmith Road, near Hunnyhill Primary School, shortly before 08:45.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash, which saw a Ford C-Max mount the pavement and collide head-on into a wall. The Ford narrowly missed hitting a parked VW by inches.
It is unknown what caused the collision to take place.

How many more accidents, a regular accorance now!
No more than usual, just more likely to read about them.

Perhaps you all better not to speculate before you know how it happened, I.e. driver may have become ill at the wheel, so keep it buttoned before you know!
