UPDATED: Emergency services are responding to a road traffic collision on Ryde Esplanade this afternoon (Wednesday).
Crews from the Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service, Hampshire Constabulary and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are all currently on scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
UPDATE @ 17:15 – The collision has involved a Ford Focus and a Land Rover Defender, the later of which has been pushed onto the pavement.
2 females have been assessed by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service however they have not required any hospital treatment.
1 fire appliance from Ryde was mobilised to the scene but quickly stood down once it was established no persons were trapped in either vehicle.
Traffic is now free-flowing in the area.
