UPDATED: A incident is causing delays on the main road between Cowes and Newport this afternoon (Wednesday).
The incident is thought to have occurred near to the County Show Ground.
Southern Vectis have said that Route 1 buses are experiencing up to 15 minute delays owing to this.
UPDATE @ 15:15 – Delays of more than 25 minutes are now being reported on Newport Road, Cowes.
These delays are having a significant affect on Route 1 buses.
Traffic is currently backed up to St Mary’s Roundabout and Northwood Garage.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance are currently on scene.
UPDATE @ 16:25 – The scene has now been cleared and traffic is flowing once again.
