Wow! Gridlock
So many accidents latley, but why?
Over to our action packed accident guru Phil..
I have no idea why this happened but I am making this comment to undermine the people who wish to use the car as the excuse.
Maintaining your car to safe level is part of the highway code including checking the state of the tires regularly. Using the MOT as a way to maintain your car is not the way to do it. Brakes do not ‘just fail’ there will have been signs months before that you have been visible if the car was checked regularly. Steering does not ‘just fail’, there will be signs, like tyres going bold on just the edge. I know, I have worked for years fixing brakes and clutches on cars. I’ve lost count of times I tell someone that there is a leek in the system and they say “but the brakes feel fine”. or that the suspension is about too fall apart and they say “so that’s what that noise is”. I recommend servicing the car six months after the MOT. And if you can, learn a little about it and use the time that you’re washing it to check it over. Only takes 30 mins once a month to pop the wheels off can look at the breaks and suspension.
“The car failed” is not an excuse.
