As the Festive period gets underway, Island Echo – the Island’s leading breaking news source – is taking a short break to join readers in celebrating Christmas.
We have enjoyed another successful year with a growing readership of over 80,000 readers a month, as we bring you the latest headline stories from across the Island, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This comprehensive service is delivered around the clock for free – we do not charge our readers a single penny and we are pleased to announce that this will continue to be the case in 2016. By reading Island Echo you can save yourself £38.40 per year.
In the run up to the big day we will be taking some downtime to relax, recharge and to undertake any essential maintenance to the website that we cannot undertake at other times of the year.
A reduced news service will be in operation from Thursday 24th December until Monday 28th December. The Island Echo website will remain live and fully functional throughout this period, however we will not be publishing our usual amount of stories (which is upwards of 70 articles a week).
On Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day our news service will be reserved strictly for major/serious incidents only.
Emails and social networks will be monitored very lightly throughout our reduced service period and our telephone line 01983 898288 will not be monitored. You are advised to email [email protected] instead.
