Red Funnel’s hi-speed Red Jet service is experiencing a level of disruption this morning (Saturday) due to technical issues.
A number of crossing between West Cowes and Southampton have been cancelled, according to the cross-Solent operator.
The 06:15 and 07:15 from Cowes were pulled, as well as the 06:45 from Southampton. It has now been announced that the 08:15 from Southampton has also been cancelled.
It is currently unclear what has caused the series of cancellations other than ‘technical issues’.
On a bank holiday too. Local trade is going to loose out. If only there was a way where people could get to and from the mainland with some certainty without having to rely on a 3rd party and their equipment. A way to move over or under a body of water that would allow people to travel at any time at a very low cost. 😕
