Police arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of assault following an incident in Ryde last night (Tuesday).
5 Police units responded at speed to an address on West Street in the town at just before 20:30, which sparked interest amongst local residents.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed to Island Echo:
“We were called to a domestic incident inside an address at West Street in Ryde shortly before 8:30pm on Tuesday 21 May.
“A 44 year-old man was arrested in suspicion of assault and remains in custody at this time.
“Enquiries are ongoing”.
