A Reliant Robin – affectionately known as a plastic pig – has been damaged following a collision in Shanklin this morning (Wednesday).
The incident has taken place on Landguard Road at the junction with Carter Road.
It is reported to Island Echo that 2 cars were involved in the collision. It was initially thought the second vehicle – a Peugeot 207 – failed to stop at the scene, but it has since emerged it has stopped a short distance away.
Police are currently in attendance.
The road is passable but there are some minor delays in the area.

Shame obviously someone’s pride and joy, or it wouldn’t still be around. hope there is not too much damage and they can glue it back together OK..
Looks like it’s lost a front wheel!
I haven’t heard that term in years.
Resin rocket was the other nickname
More bad driving on the I o w
You plonker rodders.
You plonker Rodney.
The owner must be as ‘sick as a pig’.
I think that Carter Road should be made one way westbound. There are many collisions at those crossroads which are not recorded by the council or Police statistics.
Wow the ‘save the planet’ freaks must hate that car, not only using petrol, but made of deadly plastic as well.
Nothing of value was lost
