More bad driving on the I o w
Or maybe, just maybe, the pedestrian not looking where they were going Phil. Did you think of that? Of course not.
Or just maybe people need to be more vigilante when driving through roads like that. Or even better you could mind your own business how about that James?
Don’t tell me what to do. I’m commenting just like you are. Mind my business, who do you think you are. That’s what this function is there from. So how about you keep your beak shut?
Nice come back Rose. I’d love to be in a debut with you. The comment function is here for a reason. Your comment is just like the majority, quick to blame the driver/rider.
And you James? Quick to blame a child? Shame on you… tut tut.
Or maybe motorcyclist not looking to be able to see a pedestrian in the middle of a straight road,
I was the motorcyclist she did not look when she crossed the road she had her headphones on and walked out in front of me
Where the girl was knocked down, and the tyre marks on the inside of her left leg, it proves that she had not just stepped out in front of him, and that the fact she had almost made it to the other side of the road. Regardless if she had one headphone in her ear.
Glad u are , people always think it’s us putting people at risk but in some cases it’s 95% of the time it’s their fault
Bad driving
You ride a bike not drive it Phil. Aaaaat least if you’re going to criticise, do it right. You must be the best most experienced road user out there.
Well she was looking where she was going actually. Think of that?!
Do you realise that pedestrian was a child?!
she was not looking where she was going if she was she would not have walked out in front of me
It’s funny and surprising how comments are getting deleted to favour the motorcyclist when in fact it’s the other way round. I’m sure this comment will get deleted too so it doesn’t hurt mr. Islandecho. It was not the pedestrians fault.
Actually the girl stepped out infront of the motorcyclist because she was on her phone with earphones in.
Oh I didn’t know they had a witnesses. Silly me you must of seen it.
It’s funny and strange how you say this considering there was no eyewitnesses there so how would you know any of this? You’re just throwing false accusations around.
ACTUALLY she was not on her phone at all, get the facts
Sorry didn’t realise you were there?!
I go to the same school as this girl.. stupid idiots that don’t know how to drive…
Once again it’s the bikers fault ! I ride a motorcycle, drive a car ride a bike and yes I do walk . Have any of you that condem the biker actually been on a motorbike ? Try it and see what we’re up against !
Yes I have been riding motorcycles all my life and know what riders have to cope with, still never hit someone in the middle of a straight road
Yeah didn’t think that would be put up
My son was hit by a motorcyclist in our hometown 1st July he waiting patiently at the lights on the island and the car which were going round the corner had stopped and the only light showing was red and no red or green man so it thought it was safe to cross.
He was thrown 10 metres up the road and sustained 3 compound fractures to his tibia and fibula. No other injuries thankfully. We are waiting for the police speed report which can take months but speed estimated at 30 -50mph all I know is it would take a lot of force to cause this injury.
I don’t like seeing people cross roads with earphones on or using their phone it’s dangerous.
My poor boy was just going to get his school bag and ended up being in the Royal London and being rushed in by Air ambulance RV and that was only cos they had no air ambulances available to land.
We don’t know how the motorcyclist is, we hope he is alright.
Our son is having his 3rd surgery on Monday.
I hope both parties are alright.
