Overrunning maintenance work on board Red Eagle has led to the cancellation of 2 vital early morning crossings on Red Funnel’s vehicle ferry service this morning (Friday). The cross-Solent operator has confirmed that the 07:00 sailing from Southampton and the 08:30 return from East Cowes have both been pulled. This morning’s disruption – which come less than 24 hours after 2 sailings were cancelled on the same route – will have an impact on commuters, deliveries and those off on their Summer holidays.
