A storeroom at Northwood Primary School has been damaged after a car crashed into it during the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Wyatts Lane has been partially closed as a result of the damage caused to the brick-built structure, close to the junction with Oxford Street.
Police say they were called to the scene at 02:00 this morning following reports of a single-vehicle collision.
Christopher Olden, 64, of Pallance Lane, Northwood, has since been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit.
He is due to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 23rd August 2019.

Cut his thumbs off… won’t do it again
More bad driving on the I o w
Hope he has to pay for the damage as schools are inadequately funded as it is
You are getting boring now. Yawn!
I’d say so Phill
Bloomin terrible driving!!!!!!!
i notice that this time Phil five people have agreed with you probably just after leaving the pub Thinking nothing of drinking and driving which is something you probably do all the time which may be a supposition governed by stupid people like you who think they can get away with it which is also very similar to what you write every time there is an accident so please stop with the more bad driving on the Isle of Wight syndrome as why they let you publish something you know nothing about repetetively is beyond even my limiited comprehension but then i didnt say that the people who vet this kind of thing were very bright anyway. They are on the mainland and are biased as thats where you probably come from. Or you must live then in East Cowes.
Oi numpty!!!!
nothing wrong with east cowes!! You inbred?
I’m a little stupid!!
Stupid idiot
THUMBS…. BAD DRIVING…… DICKS
Lucky the accident didn’t happen during school time, the story would be different!
The driver should have life ban but probably won’t happen.
He/ we should be very grateful the children were not at school.
Shame on you
What at 2am??? Don’t think schools open mate….
Well actually Phill has point!
