The driver of a Vauxhall Zafira has escaped any serious injury after rolling the car onto its roof on the main Newport to Yarmouth road.
The incident happened at just before 18:15 this evening (Thursday) on Yarmouth Road between Vittlefields and Shalfleet.
Significant damage has been caused to the Zafira, which has come to rest on its roof on the eastbound side of the carriageway.
No emergency services are on scene but members of the public have stopped to provide assistance.
The road remains open.
UPDATE @ 19:34 – Emergency services are now on scene including 1 fire appliance from Newport, which has been mobilised in the interests of scene safety.
