One of the hardest working musicians on the circuit, singer songwriter Mary Spender from Bristol will be visiting the Island to play at the Ventnor Arts Club this week.
After a busy summer touring the UK and other parts of Europe, a Glastonbury appearance and currently on tour supporting comedian Dr Phil Hammond, she is looking forward to her second appearance to the appreciative audience in Ventnor tomorrow (Friday 4th October).
Speaking about her upcoming appearance, Mary said:
“Ventnor Arts Club has been so kind and supportive since I first played in May, I can’t wait to return to the Isle of Wight during my October Tour. I am looking forward to seeing the people I met last time and making some new friends.”
Miss Spender has won awards for her songwriting and performances. She has also made many appearances on the BBC and other radio stations around the world while touring.
Stephen Izatt of Ventnor Arts Club told Island Echo:
“Mary played two fantastic sets last time she played for us. Her guitar playing is amazing, the songs are rhythmic and uplifting and her touring experience really shows in the way she naturally engages her audience.
“We’d like as many people as possible to enjoy her”.
