A motorcyclist has collided into the rear of a car on the main road in Lake this lunchtime (Friday). The incident on the A3056 Newport Road, outside Morrisons supermarket, occurred at just gone 13:00. Island Echo understands the collision has seen the rider – on a Dominos delivery bike – smash through the rear screen of the car, leading to neck pains. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is on scene with paramedics checking over the casualty. Police are also in attendance. Traffic is heavy in the area with queues forming back to Apse Heath. It is third road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist today alone, with incidents in Blackwater and Whitwell this morning.
