A motorcyclist is receiving treatment in hospital for what has been described as serious injuries following a collision with a car in Newport at lunchtime today (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police responded to Sylvan Drive, at the junction with Birch Gardens, at around 10:50.
Police closed the road in both directions whilst paramedics tended to the Yamaha rider, who was then conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by land ambulance.
It has been confirmed that the male rider has sustained injuries to his shoulder and pelvis.
The motorcycle had come to rest against a tree.
Sylvan Drive has since re-opened.

When one gets insured they always ask, ‘ Has the vehicle been modified in any way ? ‘ and if not at that time, then one must notify the insurers about ANY modifications.. !!!
Stop talking out your arse. The bike comes with that exhaust as standard as it is a 125cc version of Yamaha’s sports bike range. You are just showing your ignorance.
