More strong winds are expected throughout today (Monday) as the Met Office issue another yellow weather warning for wind.
Southwesterly winds will increase later on this morning with severe gales likely on the South coast, which could lead to cross-Solent disruption.
Gusts of 50 mph are likely inland whilst gusts of 60 mph will affect some exposed coasts before the wind gradually eases this afternoon and into this evening.
Wightlink’s Portsmouth – Fishbourne car ferry service has a number of cancellations today due to high winds and mechanical problems.
The 06:30, 08:30, 10:30 and 12:30 sailings from Gunwharf and the 07:30, 09:30, 11:30 and 13:30 sailings from Fishbourne have all been cancelled.
The weather warning is in place from 09:00 until 18:00 today.
