Police are appealing for information after a mobility scooter was stolen from outside an address in Shanklin yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at just before 16:00 with a report that a mobility scooter had been stolen from outside an address in The Rogers, Shanklin.
Island Echo understands that the scooter was due to be collected and returned to a business on the mainland, but unfortunately it was taken before it could be picked up.
A spokesperson for the force has said:
“Enquiries are underway. Anyone with information can contact 101, or report this via our website, quoting the reference 44240507885.”
UPDATE – The scooter has now been located.
How low can people stoop, to take from a disabled person
