UPDATE – The male has been identified, with Police now withdrawing the appeal for information.
An alleged serial shoplifter is being sought by Police on the Isle of Wight, who are appealing for help in identifying the male.
It is reported that a man walked out of Tesco Express on the High Street, Wootton with 2 bottles of wine that he had not paid for on 16th October, at around 09:50.
Just 3 days later, on Sunday 19th October, at around 17:10, the same man reportedly took items of food from the same store and left without paying.
Police are now looking for the man pictured above, as they believe he can assist with ongoing enquiries.
He is described as,
- Between 30 to 40-years-old
- Around 6’0” tall
- White
- Slim build
- Short, dark brown hair
- Walking with the assistance of a crutch
If you recognise this man or were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, call Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on 101 and quote 44250481875. Officers also want to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorball footage.
Shame he never stole a decent outfit or set of dumbbells.
