A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident on the outskirts of Ryde this morning (Saturday).
Police were called at 08:35 to reports of an assault having taken place on Ashey Road.
3 Police units responded to the residential area known as Ashey Villas.
A 30-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He remains in custody at this time.
It’s said that the accused and the alleged victim are known to each other.
UPDATE – The suspect has been bailed with conditions until 9th April.
