As a mark of respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II, shops, attractions and other businesses up and down the country will close next Monday – the day of the state funeral.
Monday 19th September has been declared a Bank Holiday across the United Kingdom. This doesn’t normally see the closure of businesses, other than at Christmas, but as the country pays tribute to the former Queen many firms have taken the decision to close.
Some businesses are shutting up shop for the entire day, whilst others are closing for a period and opening later in the day to allow staff to watch the funeral on television.

Are they going to cancel the fox hunting….?
The mill bay ventnor will be closed
Good for them, it’s a mark of respect. Everything should close. RIP our beautiful queen XX
Medina leisure are apparently opening
Only at certain times.
Hope the weather stays nice as with all the empty roads it will be a great opportunity to get out for a blast on the bike.
ALL non-essential businesses should close for the day as a mark of respect. Petrol stations, Pharmacys, Health Clinics exempt, everything else can surly shut up shop for 24hrs. If we can’t make provisions for a whole day, then that’s just a sad reflection of modern society.
I suppose Butterflyworld is open as it is owned by the Chinese
The high park tavern ryde will be closed
