Fire Crews from multiple stations across the Island are working to tackle a blaze that has broken out on the cliffs at Shanklin this morning (Wednesday).
It is understood that the location of the fire is currently hindering the process and the assistance of other services is being requested.
Appliances from Newport, Shanklin, Ryde & Ventnor are attending the incident.
UPDATE @ 12:35 – Coastguard Rescue Teams are now assisting the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service at the cliff top fire in Shanklin.
