Paramedics are checking over the occupants of a car that has left the road and come to a stop in a ditch in Havenstreet this morning (Friday).
A red Mini Cooper has been involved in the single vehicle incident at the top of the village, close to the junction with Firestone Copse Road.
The driver of the Mini appears to have lost control of the vehicle, careering off the carriageway, over a retaining wall and into a hedge row.
Thankfully, no one has been trapped or seriously injured in the crash which occurred sometime before 08:40.
Police are on scene and officers are directing traffic. The road remains open in both directions, albeit with minor delays.
