Police are investigating criminal damage and theft on a busy main road in Ryde during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
At least 5 vehicles have had their windows smashed overnight whilst parked on Marlborough Road. Another vehicle, which was parked on a driveway, has been interfered with and some small items have been stolen.
The incident is thought to have occurred sometime around 05:00 or 05:30 this morning (Wednesday).
Vehicle owners have told Island Echo that a number of males have been captured on CCTV. It is thought they travelled from the Westridge direction towards East Hill Road.
Hampshire Constabulary have sent a forensic investigator to the scene in the hope of identifying those involved.
