UPDATED: Hovertravel have been forced to suspended their cross-Solent service this morning (Saturday) due to technical reasons.
Solent Flyer is currently limping back into Ryde at a slow speed of around 5 knots having departed Southsea almost 45 minutes ago.
An update is expected from the travel operator at 10:15.
UPDATE @ 09:05 – Solent Flyer has arrived back at Ryde, where a forklift is being used to tow the craft up the pad.
It’s evident that one propeller isn’t working, leading to the 50 minute crossing.
No passengers are thought to be on board.
UPDATE @ 11:20 – Services remain suspended this morning with the next update due at 12:00.
UPDATE @ 11:52 – Hovertravel have confirmed that their Ryde to Southsea service will resume from 12:15.
