UPDATED: Red Funnel have suspended their hi-speed Red Jet service this morning (Wednesday), as have Hovertravel, due to the adverse weather conditions.
Both cross-Solent operators have stopped services between West Cowes-Southampton and Ryde-Southsea respectfully as strong winds lash the South.
It it unknown when services will resume.
Wightlink have not reported any delays or cancellations.
UPDATE @ 08:15 – Wightlink’s Fishbourne to Portsmouth car ferry service is delayed by 30 minutes due to a mechanical problem.
Hover and Red Jet services remain suspended.
UPDATE @ 09:35 – Wightlink’s Yarmouth to Lymington car ferry service has now been suspended as a result of the strong winds in the Western Solent.
Red Funnel have confirmed that their Red Jet service will resume at 09:45 from Southampton and 10:15 from Cowes.
UPDATE @ 14:16 – All cross-Solent services have now returned to a normal timetabled service.
